About

Thanks for stopping by my collection of memories and photographs.

My name is Evelyn. I was born and raised on a tiny island city named Singapore, and am still living in this country of about 5 million and counting. Being a Singaporean also means I'm multi-lingual - I speak English, Mandarin, and Hokkien (which is a dialect). I understand a smattering of Japanese, Finnish and Spanish. And I also sign (We use SEE - Signed Exact English in Singapore). Yeap, you read it right. I sign and yes, I can hear - when I have my hearing aids on!

Pole dancing is my hobby and cooking makes me happy.

Oh, and the glorious food! Singaporeans are indeed blessed - 24 hrs food courts, restaurants catering the different flavours and cultures of the world, fastfood restaurants and coffeeshops. Being a country of diverse cultures and races also meant that popular foreign food products are easily available here. Well, most except kermaviili.

Like many girls, I love fashion, and it's hard to resist clicking 'purchase' each time my favourite online/blog shops launch new items! My wardrobe consist of mainly a mix of high street labels and local labels sold online. And the annual Great Singapore Sales never fail to blow a hole in my wallet. Hey, can't complain much since I'm getting and stocking up on clothes at up to 70% off the usual prices!

I love going to the airport (After all, Changi Airport is one of the best in the world!) and hopping onto a plane, flying off to a land of different culture, new environment, and adventures!

Then came my first Christmas with The Boy, who gave me a Canon Powershot SX20 IS. I started snapping lots and lots of photos on our trips together. One photograph which I took in Bali, made it to the pages of a magazine. Fast forward a couple of months, I stumbled upon blogs which inspired me to take up blogging again. Snapshots of my life and travels. Oh yes, and photos of the glorious yummy food I have had!

So here I am... Stay a while, don't you?
