Invited guests were brought on a tour of the facilities and the rooms, before being led back to the lounge area (with lots of daybeds!) to chill out before the fashion show started. Here are some of the photos. Enjoy!
Above are some photos of the outdoor pool area that can be done up to cater for a solemnization ceremony of up to 100 people. And for those who're not too keen to get a tan on your wedding day, you can choose to do your ceremony, either indoor (in air-conditioned but smaller room) or outdoor but under shelter (picture below).
Capella can also do up your wedding dinner venue according themes and here are some of photos the new themes available for your dinner. Unfortunately, I couldn't quite remember the names of all the themes on display.
You can also choose to do an upgrade to get a more elaborately decorated tables. Below are photos of the theme 'Apple of my Eye' in the standard and upgraded version. Honestly speaking, I prefer the simple standard version :)
And look at all the delicious, visually pleasing, sugar-coma inducing desserts available! Boy... I haven't had this much sugar in a day, for a long time!
Some samples of wedding cakes. And no, it's not for sampling!
A prelude to the start of the wedding show. The models were modeling some of the jewellery from Boucheron but I was focusing more on those gowns!
Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take pictures of the Michelle Huimin Bridal Veil 2012/ 2013 Collections that was being showcased.
A bit of description of what I saw: Asymmetrical designs seems to be the in-thing, and there were also some cheongsam-inspired evening gowns. For those who do not know what is a cheongsam, it is actually a body hugging, one piece Chinese dress for women. It is known in Mandarin Chinese as the qípáo (旗袍). The men's suits were not the usual black and white tuxedos but in colours like blue, brown, off-white, grey and there were even suits in metallic sheen!
Some local celebrities were also spotted at this bridal fashion event, and plenty of champagne and tapas were served to keep the guests lounging around happy. :)
And speaking of food, it's dinner time!
The photographs are beautiful - what an amazing venue! Following...
